With all the seriousness in wrestling. It almost feels like there’s barely any space for comedy.
We’re all so used to the smack talking and blood and weapons. That when a comedic moment happens it really takes us by surprise. I’d say we’re not that used to it.
Sure, there’s dozens and dozens of times where WWE has tried doing comedy and it just falls flat. It’s not funny. It feels like we’re forced to laugh to just get by. It’s something I hate that they do.
The funniest moments that happen in WWE is when it isn’t plan. It just happens out of the fly.
Sycho Sid Forgets He’s On Live TV
Sycho Sid was a tall and tough son-of-a-bitch. He was menacing. This man could easily brake you in half.
But, like many wrestlers, some have the gift of talking on the microphone while others simply don’t. Sycho Sid falls under the category of people who don’t have mic skills.
I love him. I think he’s super underrated in the ring and should be in the Hall Of Fame but his botch on tv was just so cringe-worthy.
It was at In Your House 1995 where Sid was doing his promo. He was fired up. He was doing his promo and forgot his line and said “Can we do it again?”. That was when Jim Ross said “It’s live, pal”.
The look on Sid’s face said it all. He knew he messed up big.
It was just funny seeing someone at the time asking for a do-over.
Titus O’Neil Slips At The Greatest Royal Rumble
Titus O’Neil isn’t much of a big name in WWE. He hasn’t won much championships or gone on to main event any Pay-Per-View. He’s not one of the most decorated WWE Superstars.
But, he is a great humanitarian. He does a lot of charity work and community service. He’s a great person outside of WWE. I praise him 100%.
Titus has the most random funny moment in WWE history.
Titus was running down the ramp. He was hyped up and ready to wrestle. He tripped on the mat and literally slid underneath the ring. His entire body was just lost.
The moment was so hilarious that even the WWE commentators couldn’t hold back there laughs. They were crying of laughter.
I saw it live and threw my popcorn to the side. My stomach hurt from laughing so much.
The Shockmaster’s Debut
Every WWE Superstar dreams of having an explosive debut. Something that will be talked about for weeks or months. Something that will get fans talking and spreading the word.
Well, Shockmaster had an explosive debut, literally.
It wasn’t the type of debut that he was hoping for.
Shockmaster smashed through a wall and tripped on the debris. Once he fell to the floor his helmet came off, exposing his face. We knew it was Tugboat behind the gimmick.
I loved how he put his helmet back on and pretended that nothing happened.
Even funner was the fact that the helmet was just a Stromtrooper helmet.
I’ve rewatched the video so many times and still get a laugh out of it.
To this day, Shockmaster’s debut stands as the most hilarious moment in WWE history.
