WWE’s Biggest Flop Yet
How they ruin potential
Often of times we get the chance to see something new, something fresh, something that seems to have potential to be the biggest thing in the company, and then in one second it just disappears or just turns to shit.
This is exactly what happened to their new faction, The Judgement Day.
They had all the potential in the world to be one of the scariest and most deadliest group in the company. With the help of Edge, he could’ve taken the group to new heights. I kept seeing them week after week and their promos and “super natural” powers were actually really interesting to watch.
The gothic atmosphere they invoked would just draw you in.
Now, how or why would they ruin such a faction so early on?
Typical Hall Of Fame babyface turn
Edge is a hall of famer. He is one of the best entertainers out there, whether he was a heel or not. He knows how to get your attention and how to provoke you into feeling his emotions.
Raw is in desperate need of a big babyface. Seems to me that they’re struggling to find that person. So, why not just put Edge as their top babyface? Everything will be okay of course because we all love Edge?
Not so fast WWE.
This turn just feels too fast and there’s no reason on why he should turn babyface.
No Reason for Finn Balor to be their leader
Finn Balor is an absolute beast in the ring. Even though he’s barely gotten a chance to really show off his skills, we as wrestling fans know what he’s capable of doing.
Now with that being said, there’s no reason for him to be their leader. There’s just no evidence that showed that he’s “worthy” of running the faction. There was no storyline that lead up to that.
It was just thrown in there.
WWE creatives need to learn how to organically introduce new members and learn that “long time storytelling” is more effective, just like how they used to do. They just threw Finn Balor in and their excuse was “they needed something new” as Rhea Ripley said.
Quite frantically, when they deliver there’s promos now I just don’t feel anything. It’s just forced and all I hear is just “We’re deadlier than ever”, but they’re really not.
I think Finn Balor deserves way better than this.
Gapping Plot Hole
The biggest plot hole in this ordeal is the fact that they never really gave a reason onto why Rhea and Damien Priest turned on Edge.
They could’ve just kept it simple and could’ve just said something around the lines of “we want more”. Rhea and Damien could’ve been on a power trip and with Edge’s success it was a result of jealousy. It’s simple but effective.
Sure WWE is infamous for having insane amounc of plot holes in their storylines, but it’s even worse when its a gapping plot hole in one of their major storylines. It’s bad for the company and bad for the fans morals.
What happened to The Judgement Day versus AJ Styles? They just ended it out of nowhere with no conclusion.
Just look at how bad The Hurt Business ended. Fans are still extremely pissed off that they called off the group when they were on the rise.
I don’t know how much more they could ruin about The Judgement Day and I don’t wanna see that.
Poor Promos
Edge obviously delivers on his promos on a weekly basis. So you would think that his energy would feed off to Rhea Ripley and Damien Priest.
That’s a no.
Rhea Ripley actually delivers promos on a modest level. She does her best and it shows.
Damien Priest although not the best at talking on the microphone, he should be more of the silent type. The muscle guy of the group who will kick your ass when you need it. Who knows maybe he will improve and will be one of the best shit-talkers in WWE.
