WWE Creative Problems

WWE has become it’s worst enemy.

Ever since the whole “PG” Era started for the company. It seems to me that they have lost touch with what made the company a global sensation. Everything just seems to crumble down faster than usual.

The creative team is a revolving door of new writers. Which seems to set an unbalance force when it comes to the storytelling. Sure, they might have the core team in place. But, we have all read reports of ideas just flying out the door from new writers.

To me it definitely feels like they are hanging by a thread.

How much more can this go on? It’s already been a decade of this problem.

The talent isn’t happy with their creative choices. Some have the power to give their input, while others have no other choice but to go with it or face the horrible truth of getting released.

Releasing superstars has been a stable in WWE now more than ever. Of course, this has happened a lot before, but that was before the internet was a big thing. Now, me being a wrestling fan, I’m always terrified to see the news because I feel like I’m about to see one of the “Future stars” get released for the dumbest reasons ever.

Take for instance the incident that just recently occurred with Sasha Banks and Naomi.

Sasha and Naomi winning the Smackdown Women’s Tag Team Championship

WWE creative had their plans figured out for Monday Night Raw. Both Sasha and Naomi felt that the choices they made didn’t fit their characters. They got fed up and left the building during the show.

Sasha Banks took matters further and unfollowed Vince McMahon and a slew of WWE creatives on social media.

Which only added more fuel to the fire.

They quickly changed the plans on the spot and basically left WWE almost looking like children looking for their parents.

Did they make the right move?

That’s the true question…I’m not on either side. Both sides have their stories and you can decide which side to take. My take on this has to do more with the problem they’re having backstage.

I think we have come to a time where whether you are a main event person or a mid-card person, I think everyone should be able to provide ideas and see where it goes. Both producers and wrestlers should be able to tryout the ideas at least once. If it doesn’t work out, then they know what not to do.

I strongly believe that there’s writers who have come up with great ideas, only to have the top executives just crumble their papers up and take pride in their position, which just kills me to be honest.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future, more superstars walk out of the WWE due to this problem. There’s always a reason why a lot of their superstars ask for their release from the company
