WWE And A Lighter Schedule

WWE is a widely known brand.

Whether you watch it or not. You know about it and you know what it’s about.

WWE is also known for having one of the most gruesome tour schedule in all of sports and probably of all time. They’re on the road 340 days out of the year.

Both on screen and backstage talent work countless hours to get the product out to us. They’re always on their feet, running errands, getting whatever is needed to be done for us.

Sure, the shows are a bit lackluster nowadays, but I truly do praise and respect the hard work these men and women do everyday to bring us weekly entertainment.

Now, with that in mind…

Like I mentioned, WWE’s touring schedule is brutal.

The wrestlers barely have days off (Depends on the week), they’re never home with their loved ones, they miss special events, they often of times miss moments of seeing their kids grow up.

It’s heart breaking the sacrifice these men and women do just to put food on the table, while also living their dream of working for WWE.

I often wonder what if WWE had a lighter schedule. Less days on the road. Less press conferences. Less overall stressful days. Would they benefit from that?

I’d say it’s 50/50.

They might lose some money along the way. They clearly won’t be used to having more than 3 days off a week. I think some of the higher ups wouldn’t know how to cope with less business days.

BUT!

Considering how much more time the wrestlers will have to themselves. I think it would be quite effective. The wrestlers would be more energized and probably willing to do more. They’ll be able to be with their families more, while also earning their checks.

Maybe they should cut Raw’s third hour (I wish) or just sometimes do one show a week. Something along the lines.

Other promotions (No name in particular) have way lighter schedules for their wrestlers. Some have ONE show a week, others have TWO, and they tend to do just fine.

These are smaller promotions too. WWE is huge, they have nothing to prove.

WWE has the resources to make it happen.

This could even help with keeping the wrestlers happy and not jump ship to anywhere
