A Hollywood ending…?

To start off, This is Judgement Day for Triple H. Everything he’s been creating and alluding to comes head on these two nights. The storylines have been by far some of the best storytelling in a REAL long time.

Wrestlemania is the grand daddy of them all. Where every wrestler dreams of to perform in. It’s the super bowl of wrestling. You only get one shot for immortality and this is the stage to do it.

It’s been a bumpy road since Triple H took over creative. There’s been good and there’s been bad, but there’s been way more good than bad.

With Wrestlemania just around the corner, everyone has one thought in mind…who will win what. What will happen? Will there be betrayals? will there be new champions? Will we see some comebacks we weren’t even thinking of. That’s the beauty of it. The week leading into Wrestlemania is just pure fun and joy.

The Wrestlemania card isn’t stacked this year and that’s okay. It gives the in-ring stories more room to breathe instead of just rushing to get to the next match.

Here are my predictions for Wrestlemania 39.

Austin Theory Vs John Cena

To the surprise of many, this is actually the opening match.

Yes, a John Cena match will open Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania 20.

Austin has become quite the loud mouth in WWE and for good reasons. He’s young and hungry and has everything a WWE Champion should possess. Thank god he left the whole “selfie” gimmick behind him.

I think this is a booking statement from Triple H. You put your new up and coming talent that you strongly believe in versus one of the greatest names in WWE. It’s the perfect blend.

Is this a jobber match for John Cena?

It would seem that way. Since this match is for the United States Championship, why give it to someone who has an extremely busy schedule? Unless John and Triple H know something we don’t.

John will make Austin looks good thats for sure.

My pick to win?

Austin Theory

Brock Lesnar Vs Omos

This is probably one of the least exciting matches of the night.

The build has been somewhat good, but for some reason something isn’t clicking. It just feels like Brock needs a Wrestlemania match, it doesn’t matter against who, but his contract states it.

I much rather have seen Brock Vs Lashley. Now there’s lighting in a bottle!

I’d say WWE is making this match the “new-age” Hulk Hogan Vs Andre The Giant. If Brock could lift up Omos and slam him in the ring. Brock is the chosen one.

But, I also think this match is going to be that crazy out of this world Wrestlemania match where things just don’t make sense. You’re gonna see F5’s being thrown out. Omos is gonna try to F5 Brock. Brock is going to tear the ring apart and go off-script.

Who will win?

Omos, just because Brock is that guy who would really put new talent over.

Seth Rollin Vs Logan Paul

Instead of being a joke, Logan Paul has proven to be quite the wrestler in his short time in WWE. Everyone was surprised on just how crazy good he was at Summerslam. He almost stole the show that night.

A lot of people will give him crap for trying to hard, but you cannot please everyone. He’s trying to improve and you see it. Despite his timing on the microphone.

I firmly believe this match might steal the night.

Both men have great chemistry in the ring. Both have huge egos and they toy with it.

With Logan being the “celebrity” guest for Wrestlemania, it would seem like he’s the favorite to win the match. Plus, I can’t see this story going further than Wrestlemania.

Who will win?

Logan Paul

Trish stratus, Lita, & Becky Lynch Vs Damage CTRL

Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing legendary women come back to WWE and have their moment of fame again. Having Trish and Lita back is great and I always hope they will reignite their feud one last time.

but, this bout feels a bit too forced maybe. This should be a singles match between Becky and Bayley. Both women have had great wars before and if they had one match at Wrestlemania, there’s no doubt that it could be something great.

Having Iyo sky and Dakota Kai feud with the likes of Trish and Lita could be a method for them to see if they could work with veterans correctly. We could see if they could handle the pressure of being in the ring with the women they wanted to be growing up.

To further this Damage CTRL storyline. They could have them lose and Dakota and Iyo could blame Bayley for the lost and they could break up. Although that would be a mistake, being that Bayley works best as a heel and not a babyface.

Furthermore, I strongly believe that Trish will turn heel here.

Who will win?

Trish, Lita, & Becky

Bianca Belair Vs Asuka

Bianca has been a staple in Wrestlemania since she beat Sasha Banks. It’s almost like she’s “The Undertaker” for Wrestlemania now. If she’s not on the card it just feels out of place and doesn’t make sense.

This match is going to be one hell of a match. It’s going to be a very technical match. Both women are going to lay it all in the ring. There’s going to be a lot of false finishes here.

Bianca is an A+ wrestlers. Asuka as we know knows how to put on a wrestling clinic.

I strongly feel like this match should open Night 2 of Wrestlemania so it could stand on its own. So that the crowd is fresh and full of energy. It would seriously give us the feel of what the night will bring us.

As their storyline and build up hasn’t been the best. It’s been feeling like two friends who just want to wrestle each other, although they can, can that idea and show us that they can be that bitter enemy to each other.

Who will win?

Bianca Belair

Edge Vs Finn Balor — Hell In A Cell

Possibly one of the best storylines happening right now.

The build up has been amazing. It’s been emotional and personal. Edge being that veteran and Hall Of Famer has been down on his luck with the Judgement Day. They seem to be one step ahead of Edge.

Edge and Finn have had a few stipulation matches. We even saw Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix get involved and it ended terribly for her. This is where the personal matter came for Edge.

We’re promised that both men are going to embrace their dark sides at Wrestlemania. Finn will bring out his demon character and by choice Edge will bring out his Brood character.

I cannot wait to see both entrances!

Can you imagine if Edge comes out with Gangrel and Christian? Everyone in the world would flip out!

Thankfully, WWE is bringing back the old Hell In A Cell structure. No more red cell, YES. The old one was more terrifying and looked like a monster.

Edge and Finn are going to fight to the deaths. Chairs are going to be used like tissue paper. Tables are going to be broken like twigs. I wouldn’t be surprised if the fight goes to the outside and they end up on the roof of the cell.

Who will win?

Edge

Charlotte Flair Vs Rhea Ripley

These two women first met in 2020 when Rhea was in NXT and they shared a match at Wrestlemania 36. Charlotte ended up winning the match. Which to this day I say was a bad call. Rhea there proved that she was ready for the main brand.

Charlotte is coming in as the babyface and Rhea is the heel. Although both women are great at being the bad girl, we do need a hero in this story. Charlotte’s coming in with her royalty and high-style life. Rhea almost seeming like the underdog even though she isnt, is coming into this match like a shark smelling blood.

Rhea won the Royal Rumble and immediately chose Charlotte.

It’s clear that Rhea hasn’t forgotten about 2020 and how she should’ve won that match. She beats herself about it everyday. Which makes this story more intriguing. She needs to become champion. Plus, Judgement Day having someone as champion could catapult them further.

The booking should be BIG. It should be a match that’s worth the wait throughout the match. We need to see just how far they’re willing to go to prove who’s the better woman.

Who will win?

Rhea Ripley

Rey Mysterio Vs Dominik Mysterio

Father Vs Son

To be honest, this is one of the most anticipated matches for Wrestlemania. We’re finally going to see this happen. It’s been months and months of building for this moment. Dominik has been running his mouth and being that annoying spoiled brat(kayfabe). Rey being the good father and holding in his anger.

Rey is about to unleash all those months of anger on his son.

Dominik’s heel turn has been the best work he’s done. He continues to do better in his promos and has been able to cut through our hearts with the way he treats his family.

We saw him yelling at his mother and sister before Rey had enough and FINALLY planted one on him.

This match is all about ending punctuation. This is EIGHT MONTHS of build up. We cannot be disappointed, frantically WWE cannot afford to disappoint us on this one. They need to end this is in a way that will leave us either shaking our heads or crying from excitement.

Rey Mysterio is in the Hall Of Fame this year and he’s an active wrestler on the roster, so that means one thing. This could very well be his retirement match without having it in the headlines, which is a good thing, because it would overshadow Dominik’s triumphs that lead him to this moment.

Who will win?

Dominik Mysterio

Gunther Vs Drew McIntyre Vs Sheamus — Intercontinental Championship

This match has the potential to be a showstopper. This is one of my most anticipated matches of Wrestlemania. At the rate Gunther is running things, there’s no doubt he will give us 1000%.

The storyline has been smartly infused by adding in teammates who are low-key trying to outdo one another. Gunther was able to seemingly break apart Sheamus and Drew McIntyre just by showing them the IC belt.

Sheamus is on a mission to complete his belt collection. Drew just wants to be the best and he wants to show Sheamus that he’s nothing to mess with. In a way, this match is mostly about Sheamus and Drew. Gunther is just in the middle of it because he DEMANDED a Wrestlemania match.

This match will for sure further the storyline between Sheamus and Drew. Both men could cost each other the match before Gunther takes advantage of the situation.

Who will win?

Gunther

The Usos Vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn — Tag Team Championships

If you want to take about high-stakes and a must win for someone. This match is your choice. The dynamic here is out of this world. It’s a must win for Kevin and Sami so they can finally end their feud with The Bloodline.

Not to mention, has there anybody lately as over as Sami Zayn?

Kevin and Sami have had their fair share of fights. They’ve had a lot of success as single competitors. But, can they co-exist as partners? Some will say yes, while others say no. Most will say that they’re just teaming up to just end The Usos’s reign and could crumble down after.

Cody Rhodes helped Kevin and Sami let bygones be bygones and was instrumental in forming the team. Kevin thought hard about it and knew it was the right choice.

I think it’s time for The Usos’s title reign to end. It’s been a LONG time coming but it’s time for a switch. This will be one of our Hollywood’s happy endings.

Who will win?

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Cody Rhodes Vs Roman Reigns — WWE Universal Championship

This is the main event. This is the moment we’ve all been looking for. Everything is on the line for both men. Finally, we’re getting a main event at Wrestlemania where both men can’t afford to lose. Cody’s return would be for nothing, and Roman’s reign would literally cause riots.

It doesn’t get any bigger than this — Jim Ross

For the first time, it seems like Roman Reigns is a bit nervous. He doesn’t know what the outcome will be, nor do we. There’s something in the air that says that this match could go both ways. What I say is that there might be massive amount of interference in this match.

Cody has been on a high since his return. He won the Royal Rumble match. He was able to convince Kevin to team up with Sami Zayn. He literally sold 9,000 for a house show, which is unheard of. His merch is selling through the roof. What more can they possibly ask for from Cody?

This won’t be easy for Cody. We’re gonna get shocking near falls. He’s going to have to go through Paul Heyman. The obstacle is staked high.

The amount of publicity this match has gotten is insane. This our Hulk/Andre, Rock/Hogan, Rock/Stone Cold. For this generation it’s the biggest Wrestlemania match. The outcome of the match will have an impact on this generation.

Should we as fans trust the WWE process? As we’ve learned they have let us down a lot of times. Sometimes they build to something great, only for the end result to be bland and obvious. I think the latter. We should trust it this time.

They’re gonna have us at the edge of our seats in this one and all this long-term storytelling they’ve been doing with Roman will result one of the greatest moments of all time.

Who will win?

Cody Rhodes
