The prestigious hall of fame. Where the legends enters.

All the legends throughout the years have entered this famed hall of fame…or have they? Of course not. There’s still MANY wrestlers who haven’t entered this place.

Every year they decide on who should be inducted. Sometimes the choice is obvious and once we see it we go “duh! who didn’t I think of that”, and sometimes you wonder why that person or group entered the hall of fame before someone else.

Usually, the first person to be inducted is the main even of the hall of fame. It’s the biggest name of the night whether it would be Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ultimate Warrior, etc. Then, once the main wrestler is announced they start going down the line.

Most of times, the one who really deserve to be in the hall of fame are often overlooked and it makes my stomach turn.

Here I put together a list of wrestlers or groups who defiantly deserve a place in this promise land.

NATION OF DOMINATION

Quite possibly one of the most overlooked factions in WWE history. From the start of their rise to fame they made a name for themselves by taking out some of the most famous wrestlers of all time.

The faction had what I called “2 seasons” of members. There was the original Nation which consisted of Farooq, D’Lo Brown, Savio Vega, J.C Ice, and Wolfie D. Then the second version of the Nation which is the most known one consisted of Farooq, The Rock, The Godfather (Kama Mustafa), Mark Henry, and D’Lo Brown.

Farooq was a great leader. He always came out with such intensity and conviction. He always made a point that black people should be at the forefront of the company. Sure, sometimes it seemed like Farooq was being racist with some of the things he said, but it made for great television.

The faction even jump started some of the most famous wrestlers of all time. The Rock got an enormous push when he entered the faction. Mark Henry was able to become somebody. Savio Vega was even able to prove that he can be a leader.

This faction deserves a place in the hall of fame. Hopefully one day WWE will see that and induct them.

Chyna

Sure, she is technically in the hall of fame already with D-Generation-X but still she DESERVES to be in the hall of fame as a solo wrestler.

What didn’t Chyna do for wrestling? She did it all. She wrestled against men and beat the living hell out of them. She hit the men with chairs, steel pipes, power bombed them. She did it all. She even out performed most of the men.

Sadly, her personal life did get in the way of her career. She left WWE in 2001 and entered a life of porn and drugs. That’s what has been keeping her from getting inducted, which is terrible. WWE doesn’t want a “druggie” in the hall of fame…yet half of the people in there are notable ex-druggies.

Chyna WILL be in the hall of fame, I know it.

Demolition

One of the most successful tag teams in history.

They held the tag team titles for a record 478 days. That record was broken by The New Day in 2016. But it’s still impressive.

Ax and Smash worked so well together. They were like brothers in the ring. I was never able to really see them in person, in their prime, as I wasn’t even born yet. But when I was old enough to watch videos of them my mind was blown away.

From their ring attire to their make-up, they had this look that always set them a part.

The only thing that is stopping them from joining the hall of fame is their recent relationship with the WWE. They were a part of the concussion lawsuit against WWE.

Demolition is sadly one of my choices that I can’t see going into the hall of fame.

Lex Lugar

A man who never really won any major titles in WWE. He did have an incredible physique.

He debuted with the intention of being the next Hulk Hogan. It didn’t really work out that way. His in-ring abilities weren’t up to par. Though, he did have that selfish charisma that a champion should have.

Lex’s biggest success in WWE was winning the 1994 Royal Rumble.

Sadly he is now paralyzed from the waist down. But he has helped a lot with WWE’s wellness policy.

Ken Shamrock

The most dangerous man in the world is what he used to be called. He started out fighting in UFC before coming to the WWE.

He did make an impact in the company during his tenure. He won the Intercontinental Championship and Tag Team Championship.

He had various feuds that were actually good. From being Vince McMahon’s muscle to being solo and fighting The Rock. He fought who he wanted to and when he wanted to. My favorite feud was when he was doing battle with Steve Blackman. They had a Lion’s Den Match and it was interesting.

His WWE career didn’t go on for too long. He only lasted 5 years in the company. But, in those years he surely made an impression on everyone who watched the Attitude Era.

Jazz

After years in ECW Jazz came into WWE in 2001 and managed to beat Trish Stratus for the Women’s Belt.

The part that surprises me the most is the fact that no one ever mentions how she was one of the women who started the “women’s revolution” way before Bella Twins or Paige did. Jazz alongside Molly Holly, Trish Stratus, Lita, and Jackie, were able to do outstanding performances in the ring.

Her WWE career ended in 2005.

Brian Pillman

Brian Pillman’s career was cut short after he passed away at the age of 35 from heart failure. Had he lived, there’s no doubt that he would’ve been an icon of the Attitude Era and wrestling legend. Though I say he IS a legend.

His famous “Pillman’s got a gun” segment is what many say is the start of the whole Attitude Era in WWE.

He made a huge impact when he joined the Hart Foundation. He was the only member within the faction that wasn’t blood related.

He never truly went up to main even status. But, There’s no doubt that he could’ve and would’ve gotten there. He always put 100% when he was in the ring. Especially when he would cut a promo. The intensity he put in his promos were amazing. No one today has the same intensity he had.

Owen Hart

This is a controversial one. Owen Hart died in an accident at Over The Edge 1999. He was suppose to come down from the rafter in an dramatic fashion. His equipment malfunctioned and he fell from the rafters, hit his chest on the ring post. He was only 34.

People in attendance witnessed Owen Hart die before their eyes.

Undoubtably Owen Hart was one of the most decorated wrestlers. Being part of the Hart family meant that he had BIG shoes to fill. The Hart’s being wrestling royalty.

Owen Hart DID live up to his families name. Sometimes he is overlooked by people when it comes down to conversations about technical wrestling or cutting a promo. I am always saying that Owen Hart was almost better than Bret Hart.

The controversy part about him being inducted into the hall of fame would be that his wife and widow, Martha, wants nothing to do with the WWE. She still blames them for her husbands death. She doesn’t allow them to induct him.

Owen’s brother, Bret Hart otherwise says that his brother induction is long overdue, even if it meant disrespecting Owen’s widows wish.

I hope that one day Owen’s wife will allow for her late husband to be inducted. It would be so great and a true treat for us wrestling fans.

The Rock

How the hell is this man not in the hall of fame yet?

The question just light a fire inside me. The Rock is probably the most famous wrestler to ever exist. Whether you watch wrestling or not, you know who he is. His charisma is something no one can match. His wrestling abilities is beyond this world.

I mean according to him he has a lot more to offer in the ring, which might be the reason why he hasn’t be inducted. Then again, there’s many hall of famers who have returned to the ring for a certain amount of time or even gone full-time.

The Rock has made some of the best catchphrases ever. Every single promo he made was fun, energetic, and most of the times hilarious.

Sure, we lost him to Hollywood. There’s always a home for him in the WWE.

I just hope that…IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOU HOPE FOR!
