Undertaker Passes The Torch To Bray Wyatt
Could it be true?
Undertaker is one of the most popular wrestlers to ever step foot in the WWE. Whether you’re a wrestling fan or not, you know his name and you know what he did for the company. The amount of respect the Undertaker has in WWE is almost indescribable.
His career lasted 30 years. Within those years he has won every title you could think of. From the WWE championship, to the Tag Team championship, to even becoming the Hardcore champion.
He’s be in some of the most iconic matches to date. He’s infamous buried alive matches. His inferno matches. His Hell In The Cell matches. He’s been in biker chain matches. Undertaker has done it all in the WWE.
Now, his legacy came at a cost. The years of putting his body through hell has caught up with him and he finally decided to actually retire. It’s sad not being able to see Undertaker on a weekly basis anymore, but healthy comes first and I’m glad he decided to get out of in-ring action before something horrible happened.
Fast forward to 2023
Undertaker has laid low from WWE, doing his podcast and making sporadic appearances here and there. Recently, he came out during Raw’s 30th anniversary. He came out to his American Badass gimmick during L.A Knight’s promo.
It appeared that Undertaker was going to show Knight who the real dog is, but no, Undertaker didn’t do anything. Instead he waited. He waited for Bray Wyatt to come out.
Undertaker grabbed Knight by the neck and taunted him that he was going to chokeslam him. Undertaker pushed Knight away onto Bray Wyatt’s arms and Bray delivered a Sister Abigail to Knight.
Bray and Undertaker stood toe-to-toe in a memorable moment that had the fans cheering as we have these two supernatural characters standing tall.
We didn’t get a fight, nor should we have gotten a fight. What we got was something bigger, something that spoke to the masses.
Undertaker whispered something to Bray and Bray’s facial expression lightened up like a kid in a candy store. It’s firmly believed that Undertaker just passed the torch to Bray.
Undertaker has always been a HUGE fan of Bray Wyatt’s work.
With one supernatural character closing its curtains, another one has risen. Bray is the future for “supernatural” characters in WWE. He’s what we need when it comes to this kind of genre. Someone not too cartoon like or movie-like. Someone who can blur the lines between reality and television.
If Undertaker truly passed the torch to Bray Wyatt. It’s one of the best decisions to have ever come to be. Bray will surely carry that burden on his shoulders and he will do his best to make Undertaker proud and us the fans even prouder.
Bray knows that Undertaker will keep a close eye on him and will maybe give him constructive criticism. Bray will have an open door policy for himself for the Undertaker. Undertaker will show him the ropes more and could possibly give some good ideas on how to further his character.
All in all, Bray Wyatt has such a creative mind that I have no doubt that he will surprise us with things we’ve never thought off.
