Winners and losers

Money In The Bank is one of the top premium live events on the WWE calendar. The mens and women’s ladder match is on the top of the list. The winners will be able to cash in their contracts at any point within a year.

This PLE seems like it has high stakes for some if not all the matches.

We will have family versus family to see who is the superior of them all. We have the unknown when it comes to the ladder matches. These are always filled with surprised and the expected becomes the unexpected.

There’s a chance that this might be the PLE WWE has to offer this year.

Let’s take a look at the predictions.

Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match — Butch Vs LA Knight Vs Logan Paul Vs Ricochet Vs Santos Escobar Vs Nakamura Vs Damien Priest

First off, it’s so refreshing to see new faces in this match. There’s no previous winner or previous world champion. This is a completely new “roster” to say the least.

Everyone here has proven themselves to be a top contender for a championship.

Sure maybe some of them don’t look like a top champion to others, there’s no denying that we’re gonna see one hell of a ladder match.

When you look at this list, one name pops up immediately to you, Logan Paul. He basically added himself to the match. There’s no doubt we’re gonna see him do some sort of high-risk move off the ladder. He’s proven himself about taking WWE serious. He changed a lot of peoples minds on him.

Will he win? No.

This match is gonna be hard to pinpoint.

My picks are Damien Priest or LA Knight.

Let’s face it, LA Knight is completely over with the crowd. WWE fans are BEGGING for him to be a top dog for the company. He has all the mic skills and in ring abilities to be that guy. If he wins, the pop in that arena will be enormous.

Damien Priest, this man is another main event superstar in the making. He’s impressed people backstage. He’s had high profile matches, which is still top 10 best match of the year. His work with Judgement Day speaks values.

If Damien Priest wins, it will be well earned.

If LA Knight wins, the roof will explode.

Winner— Damien Priest or LA Knight

Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match — Trish Stratus Vs Iyo Sky Vs Zoey Starks Vs Zelina Vega Vs Bayley Vs Becky Lynch

This one will be better than the men’s ladder match.

There’s three things still match has.

  1. Evolving storyline
  2. Former Champions
  3. Betrayal

We have Trish and Becky feud that’s just constantly becoming more personal and bigger than the last time. With the addition of Zoey Stark, we could only imagine where this will take us.

Damage CTRL has been on the verge of a break up lately with Bayley always interfering at the wrong time in Iyo Sky’s matches. It seems like Iyo is getting tired of Bayley and we could definitely see Iyo turning on Bayley and Damage CTRL being completely done.

Zelina Vega seems like the ideal person to win this match.

She’s been on one hell of a roll since her match at Backlash. She seems to be coming into her own and becoming a better wrestler. I would say more people are taking her more serious than they did when she was Queen Zelina.

Another interesting act that could happen is Zoey Stark’s greed for greatness could lead to her leaving Trish behind and eyeing the briefcase. Although it might be too soon for that sort of betrayal like that.

These ladder matches tend to pick the unsuspected to win.

Winner — Zelina Vega

Gunther Vs Riddle — Intercontinental Championship

For what it’s worth, Gunther is on the rise to becoming one of the top guys in WWE.

This match is mostly made up on the spot and there’s no telling what will really happen.

I almost doubt they would make Riddle defeat Gunther here.

Winner — Gunther

Seth Rollins Vs Finn Balor — World Heavyweight Championship

Seth Rollin is one of the superstars right now that are hotter than hell. He’s completely over with the fans. So much so, that the fans interrupt Seth’s promos just to sing his theme song, which Seth loves.

Given that he just won the championship recently at Night Of Champions, there’s no way in hell that he could possibly lose the championship this soon. But, I’m a firm believer that this belt was created to create some sort of unease in the WWE superstars. That this belt can change hand in the slightest of decisions.

If Seth loses the belt, this will confirm to fans that anything could happen when you have this specific around your waist.

Let’s just rewind back a bit to that terrible cash in that Austin Theory did on a mid-card belt and ended up in a downfall. I don’t think WWE wants to repeat that. So, if there’s gonna be a cash in that night, it will be for this title.

You can look forward to Seth getting blindsided between Money In The Bank and Summerslam by the winner of the ladder match.

Winner — Seth Rollins retains

Cody Rhodes Vs Dominik Mysterio

This is a given match. You put the top heel against the top babyface.

Lets be real, Dominik is one of the best heels we got right now. The amount of boo’s this man gets every night in the ring is outstanding. We’re eating him up, we don’t even let him talk in his promos. What more do you want from this bad guy?

Maybe to put down the top babyface and gloat about it in his next promo?

Look for this match to be quite entertaining. Dominik is gonna pull out all the heel gags he can get. Rhea’s obviously gonna help put Cody down. I expect Dominik to run around the outside and try his best to avoid confrontation with Cody.

We could very well get a huge spot where we see Rhea and Cody’s wife Brandi stand toe-to-toe, which should be a huge pop overall. This would make the match even better.

Cody needs to win this match. His story is continuing and this is just another chapter in his quest for the world title.

Winner — Cody Rhodes

Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler Vs Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan — Women’s Tag Team Championship

I don’t know how and why they are shoving Ronda down our throats. Her hype is dead and frantically no one really wants to see her in the ring anymore. She’s been boring and sloppy lately.

Don’t get me wrong, the potential is there but her mic skills are just awful. When she speaks it just feels like she’s trying to remember her lines and just doesn’t feel organic.

Sometimes I wonder if they should just give her a manager to do the talking, someone that could really get her over without her talking for herself, at least for the time being.

Liv Morgan might not have the ceiling that Ronda does. But, Liv’s really the only person people care about in this match, other than Raquel. This Liv’s first match after coming back from an injury and technically Raquel and her never officially lost the titles, I think they’re a treat to win.

If WWE still wants to treat Liv Morgan as a star, they will give her her belt back and rocket her to the top of the women’s division again. I say they’re still trying to make it work.

Winner — Ronda & Shayna

The Usos Vs Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa

The family affair that we just love to see. Every week its a back and forth conflict that sees the heroes and villains fall and get back up. This has been the most efficient storytelling in years for WWE. There’s been twist and turns and here we are in the next chapter of the Bloodline.

There’s many factors in this match that could really change things up.

For starters, we could see Solo turning on Roman and proceed himself into a championship run. Roman would then have no one but himself and Paul Heyman. Would Roman be able to stop Solo if left alone?

Another segment, which seems more realistic would be the return of Rikishi. The Usos’s and Solo’s father could return and try to make this affair go away. He could be the voice of reason and try to make the Bloodline stick together again.

As much damage as its been done, there’s always a chance that they can live and let die.

Rikishi could very well pick a side and this would add on to the continuing feud. Although I don’t think Rikishi should get in his ring wear, but only time will tell.

The Usos’s could very well pick up a clean win and gloat about it for months to come. Roman would be even more angry and challenge them for another fight, this time it will have a stipulation beyond our imagination.

Good WWE storylines put in the character development work to set up a final payoff that’s really satisfying. More often than not, it’s pretty easy to tell where these storylines are ultimately going, but they’re still satisfying when they get there.

Great WWE storylines put in so much character development work that they set up multiple possible outcomes that would believably make sense. That’s what is going on here. We know The Usos, Solo and Roman Reigns so well that any direction this goes in, there’s the potential to tell more satisfying story.

Winner — The Usos
