Future World Heavyweight Champions
The future is bright!
Triple H has announced that the World Heavyweight championship is back and it has a brand new gorgeous design. Adding more to the story, they also announced that whoever holds this belt will also be in the same list as past belt holders.
The return of the belt has been well-received by the fans.
Since the title came to WWE, its been held by some of the greatest names known to men, from Triple H to Goldberg to The Undertaker. The history of this belt is well alone worth a whole documentary about (which there is).
Now with the big gold back in WWE, there’s a few that could hold it along the way.
Bobby Lashley
If given the opportunity, Lashley could hold the championship and be quite dominate with it. Given his intensity and hunger for competition. He could easily be one of the best World Champions we have seen.
Lashley’s extremely talented and is worth the spotlight. He never disappoints when given the chance to shine. He seems to never lose his charisma even if he’s in mid-card matches.
Cody Rhodes
Cody’s already on everybody’s mind. We’re all still wondering the “what if” he won moment at Wrestlemania. The minute Triple H announced the return of the belt, many of us immediately thought about Cody winning.
It would be a fairy tale story if he won, being that his legendary father Dusty Rhodes never held the belt. Cody could win it in his honor.
There’s a few pros and cons if he was to win the belt.
One, we won’t see a Roman Reign’s rematch for a while.
Two — It might seem like he “gave up” on Roman and admitted defeat.
BUT, given the chance of holding the belt could open door to future feuds that we haven’t even thought of. Not to mention, the potential Champion Vs Champion match between Cody and Roman, if it came about.
Gunther
The ring general. Your Intercontinental Champion. Gunther has been on an all-time high lately. He’s been having such amazing matches that some feel like they’re gonna be in future top matches videos.
Gunther is no stranger to being a top champion. When he was in NXT he ruled the division while holding the NXT Championship.
If he was to hold the world belt, god knows what would be in store for the entire roster. WWE and Triple H have already made it clear that he IS a main event player. We the people are sold on that idea as well. So, why not make it a reality?
Since day 1 of being on the main roster, I knew that Gunther will be something big. Who knows maybe even bigger than Cody. That’s how much confidence I have in him.
L.A Knight
He almost feels like the “little train who could” person. This man is full of charisma. He knows how to control the crowd and when he spits his promos…he never misses. When he storms to the ring you pay attention because Knight has become almost unpredictable.
Even though he isn’t having the greatest WWE run. By that I mean he literally loses almost every match he’s in and it’s a disgrace.
Triple H needs to know what he has with Knight and reward him for everything he has been doing. Knight deserves a belt over his shoulder and he is main event worthy.
Imagine how glorious a poster of L.A Knight poster will look with the World Title around his waist.
Drew McIntyre
Here’s another WWE superstar that fits the bill of a world champion. Drew is a working horse for WWE. He never misses a day, even if injured or sick. He makes sure to give the fans their moneys worth for the tickets.
His already been WWE Champion and a quite good one.
He’s wins are at best are some of the greatest work he has done. He has beaten Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, etc. If that doesn’t impress you, then nothing will.
Drew’s been out of the world title scene for a while now. So, why not do a swerve and put the belt around his waist for old times sakes.
