Edge And Judgement Day
Edge has come back with a vengeance
While the obvious term for a legend to come back as a babyface is widely known. Edge has been able to put a twist into the stereotype and has gone heel.
He is probably one if not the most underrated bad guy in WWE history. It almost seems like he never gets the credit that he deserves. He put 100% of his time and effort into his “Rated-R Superstar” character and it showed.
With him now being back to his old ways. He has created a new faction called “Judgement Day”. Although the name is pretty basic and probably lame to most. He has been able to draw our attention towards the group.
I call this new faction “The Brood 2022”.
They have acquired the services of Rhea Ripley and Damien Priest.
Edge has also announced that he isn’t done just yet. He’s looking for new members to join the group. Which is great, it could turn into a Ministry-like group and they could terrorize the entire WWE locker room.
Who would join this group?
That’s the lingering question. Edge is being smart about this, he’s posting random photos of people on his Twitter and it has us all wondering who it could be. This is what I meant by how he’s so good at keeping us on our tip-toes.
Alexa Bliss
This is the most obvious choice.
Everyone’s still thinking that she could join the group out of nowhere. I don’t personally think that she will. She already went through the whole “dark” persona thing, so why would she go back to it?
She’s come back and has basically her “goddess” character back, just with a little twist.
Her mic-skills are definitely on point, and she could deliver a Judgement Day promo without failing.
Paige
That wouldn’t be a bad choice.
She has a great look. That gothic-look that Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley rock. She certainly has charisma. Last time I checked, she could do a hell of a good job on the mic.
So, why wouldn’t she join them?
Well, the simple answer to that is having chemistry with the other memebers. Anyone could join a group, sure. But, if us the fans can see that there’s no chemistry between everyone. We will let it be known.
Last time Paige managed a group was the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane).
Although a great tag team…they didn’t need Paige. It just felt so out of place and when she delivered her promos for the tag team, they were bland and felt forced that she actually had any sort of hope for them.
That kinda soured the thought of Paige managing people.
If she was to join, she doesn’t have to wrestle at all. Maybe not even take a bump. She could just do the promos and get the crowd going and the storylines more interesting.
Plus, Paige is still under WWE contract and has been teasing a return for years.
AJ Styles
Why not?
I think it would be pretty cool to see AJ Style be a full blown heel.
As obvious as this pick could be, I think it would be a curve ball to many. Maybe he could change his appearance a bit so it could fit with the aesthetic of the group.
We all know his great in the ring, and could act as the “enforcer” for the group. The guy that takes on any challenge given to them.
Liv Morgan
Another promising choice.
Liv has had one of the most odd WWE runs in recent years. One moment she’s climbing the ladder of the Women’s Division, but the next instinct she just falls off the ladder.
It’s extremely weird to me that they haven’t given her the Women’s championship or any accolade for that matter.
If she was to join Judgement Day, that could easily raise up her resume and we could probably she the real potential in her.
She could betray AJ Styles and join them and continue from there. Making the storyline have twists and turns on both end.
Liv needs something to bring her more into the spotlight and this would be the perfect example for her to shine.
Fin Balor
The first ever Universal Champion, yes.
Fin hasn’t had the best run in WWE ever since coming back from his injury. Quite frantically, he has the worst WWE run to date.
I don’t know why he isn’t in the main event YET.
He has so much talent and charisma that it’s borderline criminal how they book him.
He needs to join Judgement Day to show us how dangerous he can be. How he could out wrestle anyone put in front of him. He is main event material and if he has Edge’s guidance, he could be there.
Fin Balor needs a turnaround in his career right now and this is the opportunity for him.
Anyone
The choices are endless.
Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Ezekiel, Raquel Gonzalez, Sonya Deville, etc.
It could be anyone. Anyone we’re not even thinking about. It could be right in front of us and we’re not seeing the signs.
Personally, I’d go for this choice. It’s more interesting. I love when they just make that sharp left turn, and present us with something that we never saw coming.
Hell, it could be a new comer that they just signed and want to put in the spotlight.
